SUCH, an INTENSE beginning!!!!!!

I read until chapter 7 of the book This is not a drill and it catches my attention right away !!!! It all starts in a first grade class with their teacher, ms.campbell and two high school seniors former boyfriend and girlfriend, Jake and Emery. They used to be a couple but Jake screwed it all up since he cheated unintentionally . Jake and Emery were working as extra teachers in ms.campbell’s class because of school credit.Everything started as usual in ms.Campbell's class , first graders would be happy to be at school with their friends and at ms.Campbell's  class because it was the best of all first grade classes. The kids were working in class until a loud noise out in the door made everyone jump of their seats , ms.Campbell went to open the door and as soon as she opened it a giant man walks into the classroom and yells, I´M Stutts Patrick's father. He tells the boy to grab his stuff and go but ms.Campbell rushes in front the big man and says that he cannot get his child that and tells him to go to the principal's office to take a permission paper.Stutts doesn't listen to her and tells his son to grab his stuff and go but ms.Campbell tells him that he has to go to the office and suddenly Stutts groans very loud and takes a gun out of his pocket! The kids scream with fear while Jake and Emery are in shock. From one minute to another this lunatic takes out a gun with no threat at all  has taken all the people in the class as hostages.

QUOTES

“Mr.Stutts,I’m  afraid I'm going to have to insist.”
“I'm not going to the office. Those people just wanna keep my son from me. They're on her side”

This quote made me analyse a lot of stuff and confused me as well. Im wondering why will he want to take his son in such a manner, and what does he means when he says that they want to take his son because they are on her side ?For now I'm guessing that HER is his wife and that they are probably separated because of a bad marriage, maybe only the mom has the custody of their son for some familiar issues.

“Patrick, get your things,”Stutts says again. Patrick reaches for the backpack hanging on his chair.
“Patrick, sit down,” Mrs.Campbell says in a surprisingly steady voice.

When I read this part of the the book I questioned myself, who would stand up to a guy with a gun in a steady tone in real life ? That teacher must have some real guts to talk like that over a man that could take away your life whenever he wants to.

CONCLUSION

Overall, this book, as I told you before catches your attention right away and keeps you alert while you're reading. It's like you're in the classroom, quiet so that Stutts doesn't blow your head off. The story has been very intense until now and it makes me want to read more and more to find out WHAT WILL HAPPEN NEXT !!!!!! Will anybody get hurt or even worse , killed? How are they going to stop this guy from having the oportunity of killing a hole bunch of first graders? We will only find out on the next posts!!
